Yes, it’s another of those weekend photo posts! Jay and I decided to go on another little drive out to a place we haven’t been before. Well, to be 100% accurate, its somewhere I’ve not been before – Jay has been to most places having lived here for 20+ years, but me being Johnny Foreigner, I haven’t really been to many places outside of…
It’s been a shocker, weather wise, over the last three of four days. A massive winter storm system has swept in off the Indian Ocean unleashing torrential rain and howling gales (upto 130kmh winds) that have relentlessly battered the Perth coast, with Rockingham copping some of the worst of it. The bad weather means I’ve not been able to get out to get any…
This week The Good Food and Wine show has come to Perth. Yes, I know. Culture. In Perth. I can hardly believe it either. Jay got us tickets to go so we could wander around from 10 to 12 before general admission started. More time for us and the food to get better acquainted before the crowds arrive 🙂
It was one of those weekends coming up where the girls were round at their father’s, the weather looked ok and we were looking for things to do. Usually (as past posts have clearly shown), we’ll wander out for coffee and end up having either breakfast or lunch and then spend the rest of the weekend sleeping off all the calories. So I wandered over to Mangles Bay, where the boats…
When the light is low and delicious it becomes malleable, flexible. A static photograph renders what was there, sometimes better than others, but often not the feeling of being there. But play with the light, with the camera, with the landscape, with motion and things become more interesting.
Once in a while (ok, often) it’s nice to go out for a proper breakfast. It’s gorgeously sunny today and we had a few errands to run that were tantalisingly close to the foreshore and it’s array of cafes 🙂 We started out just going for coffee, but it was brunch time and one thing led to another..
It was my birthday last week I’m a whole 40 years old now. I don’t really feel it. Or, according to my colleagues at work, really look it either (although I have a wokey eye today thanks to a rogue cat hair). I had to work, which was a bit of a downer, but I did get to celebrate a little bit after work…
So, after my last post, I thought I’d show you the difference between the silver shade Impossible Project film and the regular (but now out of date) original Polaroid film.
