Charlie's Worlda week without an update!
oops, thats not good!
It’s been a busy week at work, my poor little brain has been working overtime to finish the things that I need to do for the project I’m working on. Too much work and no play makes Charlie a dull boy.
Anyway, its been a good few weeks – we finally ripped up the skanky old carpets from the formal lounge, family room and bedrooms and replaced them with a solid Mari wood floor. It’s beautiful and has totally transformed the look of those rooms.
We picked up some new furniture, went to Ikea for some chair and lights, got a new TV and now all it needs is repainting as the current colours aren’t quite right and there are some plaster repairs need to be covered up. The only other thing is to get some doors fitted so it’s not so open plan with the rest of the house.
Now we have a nice lounge with a dedicated reading area – almost like a nook, a lovely TV area and loads of clean space. Awesome.
In other news, I got a load of film back from the developers – stay tuned for another post later this week.

Its awesome isn’t it! Its Mari – an Australian native wood – very hard with the most extraordinary grain – perfect really.

I totally relate with the “too much work and no play” comment. I have been feeling like that for some time now. But I must say.. I am adoring this reading area. You just gave me an idea for my own apartment. Very nice Charlie.

Oh man, its just been one of those weeks – I did an 11 hour day today – really need a break from it, but hey, I get very very well paid for it and it’s just Mon-Fri so I’m not complaining. I really need some spaces in the house that are properly styled – I think it enables me to hit the right mental zone quicker – something I need to do in the limited time I have..
