Filmy goodness.

I swore I’d use my film cameras loads.  And I meant it.

The trouble is, well, I’m slack.

And I want instant results dammit!

Pathetic.

I love my Hasselblad 500 C/M, with its beautiful design and three dimensional waist level viewfinder.
I adore my Holgas and the crazy retro images they produce.
I’m always reaching for my little Olympus Trip 35 (yet not actually pressing the shutter, apparently) – it’s so simple and pocketable and lovely.

And yet, in the last year, I have shot only 4 rolls of film.  I shot more Polaroid than transparency.

Bah.  I’m an idiot.

I bought a Canon 9000F scanner which can scan 120 and 35mm negatives.  It produces lovely images, but the colour balancing is really difficult.  Each shot has been messed about with in Photoshop to try to get the colour balance correct and even now I’m not sure they’re right.   Might be time to invest in some different scanning software.

Anyway, issues aside, here are a few shots from the 2 rolls I’ve developed so far.  Taken with the fabulous Hasselblad.

Even with some of the colour balance being a bit ‘off’ – I really like the aesthetics of the images – there is something truly lovely about the way film renders an image.
